lilli (lilli@social.xenofem.me)'s status on Sunday, 06-Aug-2023 07:20:56 JST lilli i found a ten-year-old research paper claiming that men who experience chivalrous¹ door-holding from other men experience a decrease in self-esteem, while women do not. is this true, and is it better or worse if a woman holds the door for a man? i'd kinda hoped this practice was degendered by this point & if it is not i might have to start doing it even more to promote it becoming so
¹ i.e. the person you're holding the door for goes in before you do-
