   Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday publicly rebuked Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ offer to meet to discuss the state’s controversial new standards for teaching Black history in Florida.

   “Right here in Florida, they plan to teach students that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” Harris said. “They insult us in an attempt to gaslight us, in an attempt to divide and distract our nation with unnecessary debates.”

     To suggest that refusing to debate a very well structured and high standard document of an all-inclusive American history curriculum is virtuous is unfair.

     Kamala is virtue signalling, but by refusing to debate, she makes it clear her argument lacks depth.
