By the way.
There are more Linux users on Steam than OSX users.

@a1ba @EricZhang456 And I wouldn't be surprised that one of the reasons Windows is pretty high is due to it being shipped with a bunch of devices, including Steam Deck competitors.

@EricZhang456 I know, it's the first month where Linux surpassed OSX. What do you want to tell me here?
>remove all the Steam Deck
Why I should remove them, if they do in fact use Linux?

@a1ba It wasn't always like that though. macOS and Linux users are very close in numbers and I bet that if you remove all the Steam Deck users macOS will surpass Linux.

@lanodan @EricZhang456 laptops shipping with Linux are usually some low-mid-tier crap with none to zero actual support from vendor and where people just install pirated Windows.

@a1ba @EricZhang456 Well it does also have support but on work-oriented machines.

>My point is that for people using Steam on a laptop or a desktop, macOS is still ahead of Linux
It's a valid point. But I'm about raw numbers here. Surpassing OSX by raw numbers is an important milestone, of course thanks to Valve choosing Linux as a base for Steam Deck.
>Most of the Steam Deck users run Windows on their desktops or laptops and they aren't really contributing much to Linux desktop besides gaming.
True. But they also use Linux for gaming. And doesn't it sounds cool by itself?
