     @elilla Look, some people have a fetish for spending their time doing self imposed mind damage that makes them more attractive to be hired but less to other humans. We don't kink shame in this house but it's just not my thing.

     @aenea @elilla but seriously that's a really shitty way to talk about something that isn't actually mind damage and doesn't actually make you unattractive and is a very enjoyable hobby for a lot of people

     @aenea @elilla yeah, I've known people whose entire life was programming or some other narrow technical field in my time, and they are really uninteresting and unfun to be around honestly. You need to kind of diversify your interests, to make sure you are a well-rounded person that can appreciate life and the world and the things other people are interested in too. That's why for instance although I'm really big into programming I'm also into philosophy and the humanities and other stuff like that.

     @anarchopunk_girl @elilla You are right my wording is not good at all. But I've had so many colleagues who go on the weekend and evenings and do exactly the same thing they do during work and I honestly think it doesn't even give them pleasure

     @anarchopunk_girl @elilla Exactly! I see you profile and I think, wow, interesting stuff! I talk someone who is a gamer who makes games and nothing else and I'm bored in 5 minutes
