     @augustus @mangeurdenuage Actually it's much worse, the sellafield plant discharges plutonium into the water, it washes back up on the beaches and you've got radioactive children playing in plutonium contaminated sand. The radioactivity of plutonium isn't huge owing to it's long half life but it's chemically one of the most toxic metals in existence.

     @augustus @mangeurdenuage I am a proponent of nuclear power in general, but the way that reprocessing plant is run is criminal.

     I don't worry, I take precautions. I have a portable radiation monitor so nuclear radiation isn't invisible to me.
