   When I was a kid, I bought a bunch in a random shop in Italy and smuggled them back home. One of the other kids on the trip bought brass knuckles.

     That was the crazy part for us. I was maybe 11 and they were selling us legit weapons.

     @Humpleupagus @joey The school day trip to Calais or Boulogne was a rite of passage in pre-diversity Britain. All the lads bought flick knives and bangers (fireworks) that were illegal for us to have at home. And barring stupid dares, no-one ever got stabbed or killed.
