Idk if I can go off prazosin. Seem to not be able to sleep before like 4 AM without it.
Idk if I have the choice though,my doc (two docs actually) said theyd try to get me some if I still want to take it but there's a shortage in the whole country until 2024.
I tried taking melatonin to make up for it, still wasn't able to sleep until 4 AM and then slept thru my alarms straight til 1 PM 😶

@Piss_Ant Damn, sounds like you became dependent. Maybe you just have to ween off?

@FemaleIsNotAFeeling Weening off would be the smart thing to do. I still have 6 pills, I should try decreasing over a few nights

@EatKnitSleepAgain The symptom being treated was the PTSD symptoms, which are now essentially gone.
I shouldn't keep taking it just to fall asleep lol.

@Piss_Ant Is it falling asleep that's the problem, or being woken by nightmares? If it's the former, some of the older (pre SSRI) anti depressants cause 'drowsiness' so can help with this if taken at night. They're helpful for some of the waking-hours ptsd symptoms too.
(I put drowsiness in scare quotes, as for the first few weeks of taking these, it was like someone hit my off switch about 20 mins after taking them. No gradual sleepiness, just 'Oh shit, gonna fall asleep, gotta lie down NOW!)

@Piss_Ant Fair enough. I'm glad to hear that your other symptoms are gone.
