     i cant stand stuff like blade runner so any neo-noir clearly stretching the limits of its budget are my go to. this looks fresh but we will see. i reccomend Avalon and Naked Lunch (1991), also.

     @Erato_Heti yeah Blade Runner feels really played out after the 2010s. Naked Lunch is another thing I need to get around to watching but I've just got so much stuff in my backlog =_=

     @Erato_Heti also I kinda wanna read the Burroughs book before it or at least have started it when I watch it, which I have surprisingly also not gotten around to yet. read some of his other stuff but not that one yet

     @nyx cards on the table i haven't read naked lunch either its probably on mine and a lot of other peoples to do list. lets be real i think its just hard to finish novella length fiction after the multi media internet boom. i love all the non fiction ive read from borroughs tho, 1 of my fav conspiraboys for sure.

     @Erato_Heti for me it's mostly just being intimidated about Naked Lunch because it's when his writing gets very experimental and weird. I've read Electronic Revolution by him, quite awhile ago now, and also Queer and Junky.
     
     but then again I haven't gotten much reading done for a few weeks now so maybe I should just fucking jump in and read it over the next week so that I have something to do with my time

     @FinalOverdrive @Erato_Heti I already track all this stuff in my notebooks and have thought of making like a static HTML list of all the media in my backlog or that I've read through. I just always get bogged down in the implementation details
