Any recommendations for non-fiction #solarpunk literature? Ideally non-fiction, but fiction works too! I've already read a few anarchist works that predate solarpunk as a distinct movement, but definitely inform it (i.e. Bookchin's Ecology of Freedom), but wondered if there were any other introductory works that I could recommend to a friend. 🍃

I would put Latours "On the Emergence of an Ecological Class" as well up there.
Gideon Kossoff worked with bookchin and does the Transition Design these days. He wrote on Cosmopolitain Localism before there was Solarpunk emergence.
Maybe some of these resonate with you.

I am not completely done, but he goes for a restatement of materialism (not a Marxian one, but one of materiality). Still he says it's not an easy clear decision yet, this requires people acting upon it.
So far, it is better than other approaches to claim ecology as the new devider -

How convincing do you find the "idea of a new ecological class" in the Latour? My toenails tend to curl a bit whenever people try to do new fancy things with the term "class", but does this one make sense to you?
