   Why do data centers use so much water to cool their servers. It's "cheaper."

   "Pumped refrigerant and evaporative cooling are a few of the many techniques to cool down an ICT equipment. However, since evaporative cooling uses comparatively lesser electricity and more water, the data centres prefer it.

     @Nazani They'll always go for the cheapest option. Quite a bit of water gets evaporated too

     Can they use non-potable water? How about fracking wastewater?
