   Rossman is dead to me after what he did to Daniel Micay, siding with a lying non-coding Nord VPN YouTuber shill over an actual security expert that upstreams serious fixes to Chromium and the mainline Linux kernel on the daily.

     Back to Daniel for just a second here, Daniel is a great example of the archetype of insanely smart people who make nothing but enemies because if anybody, even a friend, is wrong in their vicinity, they immediately begin strangling them verbally.
     
     But what people don't point out when complaining about their lack of tact is they are also the natural predator of an even worse archetype: people who put 5 points into INT, 9 into CHA, and then think their opinions are always superior just because they are simply better at convincing others that they are.
     
     I'd rather be yelled at than fooled, but obviously I don't like either.

     He kind of did side with Techlore, though.
     He could have gone and done some more research, but he let his pride get the better of him. Plenty of people with autism sperg out. Torvalds. Stallman. They all do the same thing, albeit not always as bad as him.

     all Rossman did is comment "this is concerning, hope it gets resolved" on the video, he has promoted graphene many times after that iirc.
     
     I don't think calling out this behavior as wrong is siding with Techlore, I despise Techlore, and yet, GrapheneOS staff also sperged out at me for... ehm, boosting Micay's posts and supporting what he was saying about the swatting? told me to unboost them all and stuff, defederated my instance. Really retarded petty stuff, though this did not sway my opinion in favor of Techlore, he is a liar and Micay's hate of him is entirely justified.

     Rossman did not sign some official letter of endorsement of Techlore, sure. But did he shut his mouth and go ask for the other side of the story? Or did he use his massive brand first, make a public statement BEFORE HE EVEN DID REAL RESEARCH, and then just refuse to delete his comment because "Nobody tells MEEEE what to do!"?
     
     I will admit, I stayed clear of Daniel because I read the stories and his comments in general were of the "You are wrong and you should feel bad" verity, so I am sorry you had bad encounters with him. That sucks. I wish Stallman during interviews wouldn't throw a fit every five minutes if he even mind of got interupted.
