@Radical_EgoCom I agree with you that good references help land jobs. Equally, bad references will hurt you. So why would you provide a reference to a job you walked out on? It won’t help you in any way and will hurt your chances. You’re better off providing no references.
@Dogzilla just say you worked there and your magnet was your buddy. they will probably neve call to check, and if they do, he'll give your a great reference
@Dogzilla People without references of previous jobs are less likely to get jobs than people with references, since employers will favor people with work experience in the field that they're being hired for as opposed to people with no experience, and this is especially important for poor people who need jobs, i.e poor people who are desperate for money
@Kavus If they don't show up for work, then the employer will inform any other job that they apply for that one day you just left work without notice and never came back, which will make them look like someone who is untrustworthy and unreliable, which will lower their chances of getting another job.
@Radical_EgoCom What? How is this supposed to work? What if someone quits by just not showing up? This is profoundly stupid, beyond insulting, and on top of it all, it's unenforceable (And thank the spirits it is! Otherwise it'd be slavery!).
