"new mask guidelines that emphasize the importance of customer service and the ability to show our Associates' smiles and other facial features while considering the health and well-being of all individuals."

In-N-Out-Burger bans masks for their employers, unless they have a medical note.

@promovicz @antiaall3s It works to some extent but is heavily rate-limited.

"I never thought wearing an N95 mask would qualify as a form of civil disobedience, but that’s where we’re heading, isn’t it?

A properly fitting N95 mask represents a truth that fascists hate being reminded of: Nobody ever achieves anything by themselves. Sometimes, the best way to protect yourself also means protecting others. A mask reminds them that their rugged individualism isn’t real."

@antiaall3s @jessicawildfire Rugged individualism has failed miserably. I work in tech using an agile methodology. We try things. If it works, we keep doing it. If it doesn't work, we stop. We could definitely stop the individualism. It is a failure mode.

@antiaall3s If the smile reaches the eyes, it's fully visible even if they wear a mask.
      If it doesn't, it's fake.
So... they are saying it's a fake smile.

      And they insist:

"At In-N-Out Burger, we've communicated with our smiles since 1948, and a smiling Associate helps to set a warm and inviting atmosphere in our stores," Warnick wrote. "We believe that wearing a mask literally adds a barrier to communication — much of which is nonverbal — and promotes a more distant and disconnected environment." ~ Denny Warnick, CEO of In-N-Out Burger
