feld (feld@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 22-Jul-2023 00:42:21 JST feld This is my explanation of Wisconsin's weather for a whole calendar year
2 months of "fuck it's so cold"
2 months of mud and snow mix
1 month of cold spring/early summer. Either it's cool and rainy, late unexpectd snowfall, or blasting hot out of nowhere
2 months of fucking hot and humid, and these are the best months of the year so everyone plans everything for these months which fucks up your entire recreational plans for the year
1 month of cooling late summer/autumn starting. Could be 90 today, 40 tomorrow. Winds get cold cold.
2 months of mud and snow mix
2 months of "fuck it's so cold"-

feld (feld@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 22-Jul-2023 00:59:42 JST feld Having since lived down here for a year, my opinion of the weather is 10 months of "wow it's nice out today" and 2 months of "ooof, don't want to be in the direct sun too long" -

feld (feld@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 22-Jul-2023 01:16:37 JST feld I'm just tired of only having 2 months of the year where I can go do things outside without snow/mud, and then those 2 months are also when everyone does all their holidays, family gatherings, parties, weddings, vacations, etc so you're left with maybe one weekend in the middle of July that you can enjoy yourself (if you can find a place to go that isn't absolutely packed)
also mosquitos. Strangely there are almost none here, and I'm OK with that. -
