@calvaris @caitp people do it because that's what their cars automatically do, it's called start-stop system and is the next in the line of questionable ways to lower emissions in theory/measurement but not in practice, and ensure your car wears faster and needs more frequent servicing/gets replaced sooner

If it isn't sometimes it does not do it. Anyway, I am not an expert and might be completely mistaken.
