look, americans.. it isn't going to do any good to feel like its hopeless or wallow in existential dread. I get it, we're all very anxious about it, and horrified at what may/will happen. And it's coming for us too, in all likelihood. But we have to face it, and do the best we can, and don't let your people be left alone. It doesn't matter if celebrities comfort us with things they say or actions they take, we can't depend on celebrities or politicians to save us, and we can't do it on our own

so talk to your neighbors, coworkers, friends, family, people in the pub, and listen to them, and plan to ensure needs are met, as a community. I know a lot of you have been doing this for years, but for others, it's not too late to join in. You're much more powerful together. If there's a national abortion ban, people will still need abortions. People going thru menopause and trans people will still need HRT. The hungry will still need food. People will still need each other.

Maybe there won't be future elections again in your lifetime, but you still have to live and make life not miserable, and build momentum, and do the best you can for your community.

A detailed look at the totally normal and relatable humans whom many of us have been conditioned to be okay with murdering along with their moms in a tent in the courtyard of a hospital, because people are way more similar to each other than we are different. And then you imagine how you'd react if that happened to your friends, or your family. And then you ask, "are we the bad guys? are we making things worse for ourselves and others?"

imagine your "friendly neighborhood" poll watchers equipped with a similar tool to pimeyes, where they could find you and know how you'd vote before you enter the building, more reliably than by racial profiling or gerrymandering, and without necessarily the appearance of profiling or using other gimmicks.not hard to imagine a scenario where they just forbid you entirely based on your data trail. so maybe it's self defence to shoot data brokers or developers and users of these tools
