     @sjw @fluffy If you find an answer for how to prevent contamination and to sterilize hydroponic operations easily and cheaply in a normal setup, you'd revolutionize the industry. Even for legal / normal home hydroponic operations, that's a challenge. Perhaps UV the water as it leaves the tank or before it goes in.

     A lazy solution might be a cheap hydroponics kit (minus the light) from Amazon, and that's plenty of space for small batches.

     I don't know about everywhere else, but it's legal here to grow and consume; spores are easy to get.

     Well, fungus is pretty easy stuff but like anything, doing it well takes effort.

     I suggest a hydroponic solution, it's cleaner and the results are more consistent.

     I recommend having a dedicated space for it.

     @sjw @fluffy Is that a euphemism or meme or do people actually use rice to filter? I read that uv will deplete bioavailability of nutrients in the water (breaks down the salts and they reform), so consider a "quarantine tank" setup possibly. >Multiple tanks and T-valce.
     >Turn the tap and return on to one, scrub the other to remove biofilm. Bleach or UV light or ozonation. Seal up. Wait and swap and do the same thing again.
     Sort of like dialysis. Time nutrients for when you switch tanks.

     @sjw @fluffy @goatmeal They have mushroom grow bags at like Lowe's and stuff. I'd much rather buy something like that, with cash, if I was hypothetically engaging in something potentially sketchy. Is this different than those?

     @sjw @fluffy @BowsacNoodle this is fine if you don't own a pressure cooker but don't expect every bag to be without contamination. if you do have a pressure cooker you're better off making BRF cakes, running them through the big holes in a cheese grater, and mixing with coir for the plastic tubs.
