     @bot Not to sound all Eastern woo-woo, but death really is an illusion. I've read thousands of near-death experiences, and they all pretty much say that THIS is the dream, and the other side is the reality we've temporarily forgotten.

     @verita84 @bot Christians have a hard time with this "remembering" things about their life on the other side, since it seems to have elements of reincarnation, or it just seems weird that they had some kind of existence before this life. But in reality, we take on the "divine nature," which involves eternality like God has. God has no beginning or end, and so we who are saved are the same...Hence a spiritual existence both after *and before* this physical one.
     
     I'm sure a theologian would disagree, but when do they not?
