Today's new Japanese word is 鼻歌 (はなうた, hana uta). Literally it means "nose song", but the meaning is "humming".
I thought this was odd when I first came across it, but thinking about it, humming is kind of singing with your mouth closed, so your song comes out of your nose. 😁

If I try to hum while pinching my nose I can’t, so maybe they were on to something in naming it. -
