     @pborenstein i’m not talking about kicking a piece of software out the door, but about performing a radical infrastructure change. And that does not happen every other week.

     Back in the old days, management used to ask: "How long do you estimate until completion? .. OK, I'll be back at midnight with cold beer and pizzas, and if you then need more time, no problem; I'll be there for you!"

     Today be like: "I'll be away on vacation and wish to not be disturbed. And keep in mind to not log more than 10h per day or we'll be in trouble with overtime law!"
