   Ok, wtf is going on? My lights just went out, and I thought “power cut”, but then realised the TV was still on.

   Checked the fuses, all ok, turned the lighting circuits off and on just in case that did anything. Turned the whole board off and on.

   Went around the house. My upstairs landing and study lights work, none of the others do. The halogen bedside lights come on but really faintly. Two different plug-in lights in two different rooms are also not working, even though other things on the same four-way extension are getting power. Oven clock is on.

   Aaaand as I was typing this the power blipped (it makes the doorbell ring) and suddenly everything is back to normal.

   Wtf just happened?

     @Piss_Ant @Brookryn NGL, EMP was the thing that was going through my head. Which is stupid, because my phone was working.

     @HebrideanHecate @Piss_Ant @Brookryn Husband hypothesises it was a voltage drop, TV will be able to run at 110V and the lights that worked happen to have dimmable bulbs.

     It was most unsettling.
