   @jonn_blanchard Once when I lived in a student apartment the flourescent rod in the bathroom stopped working, so I bought a replacement.

   Still didn't work, so I figured the glow switch starter needed replacing. I started turning it out of its socket and the casing pulverised in my hand.

   Yep, definitely needed replacing.
