The most annoying thing the Wordpress situation is the smug ‘you should be making your own blog anyway’ brigade. Not everyone wants to, sometimes you just want to post stuff. Are you using a purchased computer to write your blog? Loser, make one from scratch like an adult. Ye gods.

Blimey, it’s a day of deliveries. After a retro deliver we have a slightly more modern one - slightly in the sense that it’s not usable for another 7 days. Yes I bought the most expensive edition of Starfield - but it’s the only game I’ve been looking forward to for a long time #games

The key to Mastodon’s growth isn’t stopping corporations from joining, it’s making sure they realise they aren’t making the rules. Instantly blocking them isn’t always going to be the best response, treat them the same way you treat all other servers, if they behave then fine, if not then there are tools to deal with them
