   I really enjoyed FLOSS Weekly 688 “Matrix.org”. I definitely will be installing `matrix-synapse` onto my #FreedomBox when it gets added to Debian Bookworm Backports.      @baltakatei Have you considered running it in Docker?
     
     Docker has its problems, but it does kind of solve the issue of older OSes supporting newer software.

     @tk I have shied away from Docker containers because their complexity seems unnecessary if I'm patient enough to wait for my usual trusted software channel (Debian, in my case) to support what they emulate.

     In what contexts have you found them useful?

     @baltakatei Oh, and if you don't like the whole Docker daemon thing, there's also LXC.
