  it's literally a docker install atm, or on baremetal from source. pretty portable if you ask me, not sure what performance would look like if it used C++ instead tho

  @Hoss @jeff @matrix @Slacker @kroner @pizzamana @Percona I mainly make fun of Rust because I'm not smart enough to use it effectively, not because it's a bad language in general. It ends up being 30 minutes reading docs for every 3 minutes coding.
  
  Probably the best modern programs I've used were written in Rust (and Go).
  
  And yet the trannyism, not the learning curve, is usually what finally pushes me away.
