   @weird_autumn I don't understand it super well but getting boosted helps other servers become aware of you and at some point they start sending you posts? idk if someone has to follow you or what. so I always see people asking for help to get their new instance federating

     if you're trying to get your instance federated, post a "boost if you're gay or X". that was my all time most boosted post
