   Dictionary definition:
   Conservative - a person favoring free enterprise, private ownership, and socially traditional ideas

   Fixed it:
   Conservative - a person favoring capitalistic oppression, enabling the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer; limiting government intervention (unless we think we should control it, i.e. reproductive rights and elections); and traditional ideology, (i.e. slavery, sexism, freedom of religion, as long as it's Christianity)

   Might need some work...

     A conservat•ive• is a person who (1) subscribes to the above
     worldview, consciously or not, and (2) believes they belong to the in-group.

     That’s it. That’s the only empirically consistent definition I’ve heard. The rest imo is window dressing around it.

     Conservatism is the principle that there must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
