@failedLyndonLaRouchite@erictopol Odds of viability — much less productization — are always low, but the whole point of primary research to take •lots• of long shots without the expectation that any particular one will pay off? I’m glad folks are pursuing this, and hope one of the attempts does actually pay off.

for papers like this, esp ones with catchy buzzwords like nanobody, about 1 paper in 100 leads to an actual thing usable in the non academic world
take, say, the journal Analytical Chemistry there is a paper every few months about immunoassays with sub pg/mL LOD and none of those papers (Mirkin people ??) lead to anything
