It's so bizarre to see Konami of all companies doing shit right lately while others aren't. So they are releasing a physical version of the collection while new titles like Alan Wake 2 aren't. Weird.

@CenturianFrend @Jim @gucciloafers @Marshall1Banana i don't see the appeal of lugging out my consoles to hook up, easier to just put stuff on pc for me even my laptop can run a psx emu

@Jim @Marshall1Banana They're really only doing it because the general economy is so shit that their pachinko machines where they taunted people with mockup video footage based on games they used to makes is no longer very profitable and the gamblers aren't spending so much anymore, so they have to get into mass entertainment again to make money.

@gucciloafers @Marshall1Banana That's probably part of it but so far the approach they've taken has been measured and reasonable. They are putting out collections of stuff people actually want at prices that aren't pure greed. Even the new metal gear collection they are physically releasing is set at 60 while it seems everyone else keeps pushing the idea that all new games have to be 70 dollars. I'm just excited for the Suikoden collection.

@Jim @gucciloafers @Marshall1Banana It's gonna be nice to play Suikoden II on a console again where i'm not worried about damaging a 250 dollar game.

@Jim Another MGS HD collection? Didn't they release this on PS3, except with peace walker instead of MGS1?

@Marshall1Banana I think this is part of a new push from Konami to see what people are interested in before greenlighting more major projects. They did it with the turtle games, they have the suikoden games coming up, now MSG games as well as a bunch of Silent Hill and a remaster of MGS 3. I'm kind of curious if there has been a management shift like what happened with Capcom where they pulled it back from the brink. Legit interested if there have been internal changes that are starting to show up now in releases and projects.
