      honestly better semantics imo, if you agree with that i'll make patches for other software (Mastodon, GoToSocial, etc), the Block+Unblock stuff to force-unfollow is absolutely terrible and I can't believe it's prevailed this long

      just wanted to bounce that idea by someone very focused on AP first to make sure it wasn't terrible :hehecat:

      @helene@p.helene.moe iirc mastodon already has that functionality but its just a bit hidden. of course dunno how they implemented it.

      i also have to correct myself, what Misskey/Foundkey does is Reject(Follow): https://akkoma.dev/FoundKeyGang/FoundKey/src/commit/846ca03a7cf89c0e783a4808305748c671139697/packages/backend/src/services/following/delete.ts#L53-L57

      @helene@p.helene.moe the ui part is if you go into profile settings > follows and followers, then select relationship = followers there is a menu item called "remove selected followers"
