     Sigh, I lived the XMPP episode, and while I did maintain any opensource packages, etc.

     Yes, some other competitors did enter based internally on XMPP, I know, I did the customisation and extensions of the XMPP 3rd party network transports for them as an external consultant.

     Excellent, Andreas, so you are an expert voice of what happened.

     Tim Chambers basically seconds an opposing view of #ThreadsDefederation on ranea.org, portrayed quite convincingly on ranea.org by #CoyoteTracks.

     I can see their points but find others lacking (Fedi user tracking by #Meta, minority harassment, cultural aspects like inclusion, etc.):
