   It's funny that all the people that want to take a wait and see approach to Meta and threads all fit the same demographic.

   It's this same bullshit centrist (devil's advocate) attitude that has caused many of the problems in the US... They waited to see so long, by the time they tried to do anything, it was too late.

     @gnitro @neatchee Today, due to it auto following all your Instagram community, it’s a less obnoxious Instagram photo stream. I only expect it to get worse.

     If they do go on to create a compelling micro-blogging platform I’d give it another look in the future. If it only serves to move eyes away from Twitter and give me a non-Twitter place to follow artists/creators who won’t mastodon… that’s a win.

     It shouldn’t federate though. Fuck that.

     @gnitro @neatchee there hasn’t been a compelling improvement to social media since…. Google+?

     Just another microblogging platform isn’t enough to get me excited anymore… not enough to forget who Meta is.
