This might not be very feminist of me but I kind of think modern permanent makeup is great

@fpcgc Ya that sorta thing. I say modern bc I mean techniques that work well and continue to be used, and have no risk of disfiguring you or leaving you with unsightly scars (I do have unsightly scars but from piercings not permanent makeup)
Someone is trying to sell me "lip blush" and honestly it sounds great but I don't spend $500 on anything, especially makeup. But then you start calculating how much money you spend on makeup currently and realize permanent makeup is, long term, far less expensive.

@Piss_Ant @fpcgc Until the fashion changes and then you're stuck with last year's 'look'. And we know that the preferred look, colour, size for women is constantly changing. Almost like they want us to keep buying shit....

@xzy45 I do my makeup the same every single day lol. On days I want to look nice I just do it extra carefully XD and I'm not particularly good at it. So the idea of permanent makeup is very appealing to me

@Piss_Ant Did you only ever like one colour lipstick all the time? Or the same style eyeliner? Feminist or not, blimey I'm glad of a choice of lipsticks or eye colours, etc. I've certainly never stuck to the same style eyelining or eyebrow shape. Those massive caterpiller things, can you imagine having them permently tattoed!? Would you really?

@Fullycaffeinated @fpcgc True. Also $500 lip blush would be a ridiculous thing to spend money on for me, because rn I don't spend any money on lipstick or anything for my lips lol 😹

@Fullycaffeinated @Piss_Ant @fpcgc exactly what happens. My ex boyfriend's mom had it done and then fashions changed and she then had permanent old looking makeup on.
