   @charlesgaba @BlackAzizAnansi when I was a kid, we were on a road trip and at one point, while we were on a cloverleaf ramp, I asked where we were, and my grandma said "we're just driving around Chicago" and so I thought Chicago was the name of the little patch of grass in the middle of the cloverleaf loop

     My parents would always say “We’re going to Denver” and then we’d go to my grandparents’ house and I’d play in the basement with my cousins and so I thought that my grandparents’ house was named “Denver,” and when somebody asked me “What’s your favorite part of Denver?” I said “The basement!”

     @BlackAzizAnansi Whenever I watched The Price is Right and the big Showcase Showdown prize was “a new living room!” I always thought they literally meant a new room—like they were gonna rip out the walls, ceiling & floor.

     Fun fact: When I was a kid I used to think receiving a key to the city meant that you could unlock any door within the city.
