     @Eiregoat Zucc created his own Twitter clone called Threads which is planned to use ActivityPub, everyone with an Instagram account can use it. They are taking advantage of Elon setting Twitter on fire to capture users. As far as I see it the only good to come from it is the publicity ActivityPub will get and the embarrassment for Eugen Rochko getting outmaneuvered by Zucc. everything else about Threads is ass cancer

     I believe they are federating with certain instances, but are forcing their own ToS on those instances if they wish to federate. You should check out @alex I think he was talking about it yesterday.

     @apropos @Eiregoat I opened a link to zuck's profile on threads and was hit by the standard instagram cookie wall where you need to consent to them tracking your retina movements to see anything and just noped out. I think you probably can but not sure
