   I’ve found that the “Edge Case” years between the generations are kind of distinct from both the generation before and the one after.

   Like a mini-generation of a couple years, like the clutch between the shifting gears of society.

     @Jagahati @eriner @obihahn its called a "cusper" and they are quite often considered a separate microgeneration of just a few years. for example, the gen X/millennial cusper generation are called Xennials. I'm not sure what it is for millennial/Z, but there probably is one for them too

     @obihahn @Jagahati I would argue that i'm not a millennial, rather tip-of-the-spear for Gen Z. I don't remember 9/11, was in public school for the entirety of No Child Left Behind.

     As a 26 y/o with a wife, kids, land, and ample technical skill, I love being called a boomer.

     Most of the time the “insult” is levied by some terminally-onliner 6-12 years older than me. Meanwhile their “apartment” (grandma’s basement) is littered with dirty clothes. The only clean things in their room are the glass display cases for their anime figurines and funko pops.

     They’re too cowed and pathetic to be mistaken for a boomer. I never have to retort; their mere existence is retribution.

     @ThewTheKooky @Jagahati @eriner @obihahn it doesn't seem like they have quite as clearly defined of a cusper generation there. Young boomers are apparently generation Jones, so depending on whose dates you like, you'd either be that or just Gen X
