I see that Kolektiva has helped educate everyone on what a colossal fucking privacy nightmare it is having all your posts and DMs instantly syndicated in plain text to hundreds of different servers, run by hundreds of different people with whom you have no relationship or leverage, with varying levels of security consciousness, in numerous different jurisdictions which may or may not help enforce your home nation's own privacy laws.

@Bloonface I mean it shouldn't have to be said that if someone is planning something they don't want exposed, social media is the worst possible platform to do it on. They may as well use a bullhorn.
