   I love the colour black: jet black.

   (I also love reply guys who assert black is not a colour actually, but not as much.)

   And so when I was young my favourite two comics heroes were Black Panther and Ghost Rider.

   Because they wore black.

   But.

   I now know black is a very difficult colour for comics artists and inkers.

   And so it was usually blues and purples made to look black.

   And I never realised.

   I am devastated.

     @davidallengreen When I was at college I was once asked by some of the art students what my favourite colour was, for a survey they were doing as part of an assignment.

     I told them, “black”.

     And they said “ok, but black’s not a colour, it’s a shade. So what’s your favourite colour?”

     I was so annoyed I just told them my favourite was “very, very, very fucking dark blue. That looks black.”
