     That's what the court decided. An expert can say that it's consistent with the gun though, but not that it's a for sure identification. I'm waiting until we find out that the same is true for DNA. I believe finger prints have a similar issue.

     I thought maryland had a rule where everyone had to provide ballistics for lawfully purchased weapons as well.
