     @chjara another fun fact: Luxembourgian as a language is not mutually intelligible with German and it's in fact more difficult to learn for Germans than Dutch.

     @kaia @chjara wait really? had a german tutor who lived in trier for a while and he claimed it's pretty similar to trier dialect

     I mean Trier is pretty close. but Lëtzebuergesch has a lot of French lean words for example, so understanding is one thing, but using the right Frencho terms is difficult. easier to speak French outright.
