   I just don't understand the idea of using Twitter or other social media as a source for _news_ of all things. There are dozens of reputable websites that do nothing but report news.

     They’re just propaganda outlets, like how they pushed the fake state propaganda that led to decades of war. They run cover for pedophiles and politicians. Saying they’re reputable is shockingly ignorant.

     @bot By and large, yes. Definitely more so than random people on social media. Add a few other news outlets from different countries, and you're pretty well covered.

     I’m actually not one of those ppl, I don’t get my news from Twitter or social media, and I think those accounts are often just as corrupt. If by “good faith” you mean blindly agreeing with you instead of questioning your public statements, then cry harder I guess.

     The BBC is literally the state media apparatus. They’re nominally “independent” but let’s get real. Several of their own presenters have publicly stated that they’re not neutral or impartial.
