   That alaskan native guy tapped out after 2 weeks. He whipped up a boat and a fishing net on like day 1, and was fishing in the middle of the lake immediately. He was as rugged as a survivalist as they come almost.

The bush will kill you within about a month unless you're working with other people, or lucky. In the non-winter months. The only reason the other people are making a go of it is they
   * had some weight to lose because they lived in society (it's not sustainable), and their body could handle near-starvation for 2 weeks.
   * were under 60.
   
   That's pretty much who's being eliminated first, regardless of survival skill.

     i've lived in outlook SK, kenora ON, sioux lookout ON for roughly a summer each. In outlook and #yqr both my front door opened to the open praire and i could see right to the horizon.
