     @kolya how does one even? but to explore on a meta-level, I think it's more acceptable for women to misunderstand men than it is for men to misunderstand women. men love to elaborate further and there's no downside to it. while I can see why it's bad for men to pretend to not understand other men or women.

     @kaia Men tend to place the blame on the other person when miscommunication occurs in order to save face. But if you're interested in stalling the conversation, the it's much better to feign an error on your own side and possibly take the blame, because the other person won't feel challenged, especially if it's a man.
