@hey @thomasfuchs Replacing passionate community volunteer leadership with corporate approved paid leadership would absolutely destroy the thing that made Reddit what it is. The new mods would be beholden to their managers and become at-Will employees.
People would still use Reddit, but then again people still use Twitter despite the total implosion of quality.

@thomasfuchs i think Reddit owners don’t understand how a strike works (obviously they’re not French). If law allows, of course firing entire striking employee group can be effective.
Unless those employees were working for free, giving a massive amount of free value. Eventually they will need to hire professional moderators and I wonder if it was worth it.

@thomasfuchs well, they haven't gone TRULY nuclear until someone starts a campaign to stick google eyes on a tactical nuke and call it Bomby McBombface and raise funds to privately break the test ban treaty in the name of the 2nd Amendment...
