   I really am disgusted by how many people are advocating to give Facebook a chance.
   
   Their history is objectively abhorrent.
   
   I’m appalled by how many people who consider themselves smart just expect us to give them the benefit of the doubt based on absolutely nothing.

     @Are0h @Shrigglepuss The wild thing is that people talk about growth as though it's like an assumed goal, when in fact that very notion is based on an adtech mindset. If you're paying for your own instance unfettered growth should not be a goal

     @Shrigglepuss@godforsaken.website People keep throwing around the word ‘growth’ but have no plan for dealing with a growing audience that needs better software to handle an unregulated space.
     
     It's a recipe for collapse.

     @Are0h it really is based on nothing isn't it? What's one single good thing of value of having Meta operating here that can't be done by ourselves already? Even if I throw all the bad stuff off the table to consider this question I've got nothing
