How to talk about the #fediverse / #activitypub without mentioning it? Are people understand these buzzwords or should we simply talk about "following" or "subscribing"?

  @tchambers let's be more concrete: when showing a list of followers or a following dialogue, should we mention the #fediverse or #activitypub? does it help or does it confuse? Is it enough to simply say "follow me" and these are my "followers"?

  @pfefferle I dig @stefan's https://jointhefediverse.net as an intro to it all- have you seen it? I feel like it explains the whole thing pretty well, and simply? Maybe ideal for a first time user? Would be curious to see how someone unfamiliar with the fediverse would react to it.
