   There's a browser plugin called FediAct which sort of does this:

   Also Simplified Federation plugin for Firefox does similar stuff:

     @danbrotherston That's how it always goes. Techies make stuff that is cool but ugly or awkward.... then later the designers & UX folks come to the table & things get smoothed out.
