@rher@jew almost bought d4 cuz i like hte genre, and there's not nearly as many games in it as others, but i looked 70 bux fo hte base version i'm like "really? see ya"
@grey@Zealist@rher@jew Difference in minute details, which most people will not notice. And Grim Dawn is the best arpg (classic diabloclone) on the market.
@Marakus@grey@rher@jew also been trying last epoch again since they updated the acts or something, still missing several subclasses hto,g ames been being worked on for a damn long time at this point, but ic an't say too much bad about it other htan the paladin being a nigger, but that was d2 too.
@Zealist@rher@jew but seriously just watching people stream it gives me enough of an idea of the experience that i know i never want to bother. i don't even see much of a difference between this and d3 and any other modern arpg.
@BolegghV2@Zealist@grey@rher@jew Its unity engine, so random slow downs, unless you have very powerful machine. Low enemy count, so you can slay legions of hell. Some skills dont work as they should, some skills are just useless, bosses are stupid, mobs are stupid.
@Marakus@BolegghV2@grey@rher@jew even grim dawn has useless skills lol, tho you can argue even some of the 'useless skills' in grim dawn can become useful in the right build. which honestly my entire philosophy in theorycrafting when i played grim dawn was "i wanna make something interesting that uses skills people says is shit"dont' awlays work.
@Zealist@BolegghV2@grey@rher@jew Skills in grim dawn have very similar damage output. Skills in last epoch are filled with gimmics, which multiply their damage, so if skill cant do something stupidly powerful, its useless. And low end of skills in grim dawn can clear 90% of content and only fail on uber bosses, while shit skills in last epoch fail on average mobs because "lol difficulty scaling".
