     @stokes Many, *many* years ago one of my parents (I don't even remember which one) remarked that "AUTOEXEC.BAT" gave them a mental image of a wealthy bat driving to their office in a fancy car. 30+ years later, it still works.

     After one time too many fighting config.sys and autoexec.bat, my brother started calling them "the combat files".

     @stokes the amount of time I spent tweaking that goddamn file or using Microsoft MemMaker in other to organise the memory in order to get a game to run! 😁

     @UKFilmNerd @stokes The entire existence of MemMaker was such a hack upon a hack upon a hack, but we welcomed it with open arms compared to the alternative of not having MemMaker. 😃
