@seachanger @Radical_EgoCom Oh! That was already on my list as someone mentioned it the other day. Now it got a bump toward the top.
I'm currently enjoying her performance in the surreal Marvel psychic mutant series Legion, where she's a key supporting character.

Unpaid work is slavery.
Internships are slavery.
House spouses are slaves.
Prison labor is slavery.And a whole lot of jobs that pay near, or below, minimum wage are de facto slavery.
And the rest of is? Well, if we aren't bosses and owners of the means of productio, then we're wage slaves, tied to our jobs so that we don't starve, or get thrown to the streets.
As long a we live in a society that uses money, everyone who works should be paid a living wage.

@Radical_EgoCom I watched this movie last night thanks to you and a lot of the recommendations under.
It's really amazing. I think my favorite facet of this movie is how it portrays how much a felony conviction can ruin every aspect of your life.

@Radical_EgoCom @donmelton “When I was your age…” 🤦🏻♂️
Just because you were wronged doesn’t mean you have the right to do the same wrong thing to someone else. Times change…

@Radical_EgoCom That's a terrific movie. Yes it devolves into a kind of thriller, but its portrayal of the way marginal employees ("gig" workers) are treated is pitiless and (probably) accurate.
